My name is Andrew Roebert (pronounced Ray-bert). I live in the city of Pretoria, South Africa, together with my two daughters, Caitlin and Amy. For three generations now, my family have been serving God in various capacities. I was born in November of 1966. My father, Pastor Ed Roebert was the pastor of the Hatfield Christian Church in Pretoria until his death in 1997.
This church was not a ‘normal’ church, but it was a place where we discovered that God was alive and that He loved us and wanted us to know His presence in our lives as a living reality. This involved the active pursuit of the Holy Spirit and as a result many people were drawn to what was happening. Being brought up in this environment and with a Godly heritage, has been something special to me, and out of this background came a desire within me for more of God.
My late wife Vanessa and I started a ministry called Alive to God in 1999. It is still going strong and we’re reaching close to a million people worldwide with a Bible verse every weekday.
I currently serve as CEO of Impact Radio in Pretoria, South Africa. I host a regular radio programme on this station. I am also a pastor at CHOOSE LIFE Church, in Pretoria East, South Africa.
