A. IT IS A POWERFUL SHIELDThe mighty working power of God is your shield. 1 Peter 1:5 ‘ … who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation …’ Don’t limit God’s power in your life. Don’t try to put God in a box. Don’t limit Him by your own…

A. HE IS A PHYSICAL SHIELD In the Bible we see a picture of a physical hedge of protection spoken of. Job 1:9-10 “Does Job fear God for nothing?” Satan replied. “Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so…

WHAT IS A SHIELD?A shield in a piece of armor. It was designed as a defense mechanism. It was used to intercept attacks, either by stopping them or by redirecting them. To this day shields are still used. You may think that they are not and in the historical warfare situation they are not used,…

We should pursue His Kingdom, His kingship, His sovereignty, His authority, His rule, both in the world, and in the hearts of men. John 15:15 ‘I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I…

Matthew 6:33 ‘But seek you first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.’ The use of the word SEEK has bearing here. The word ‘seek’ is a verb or a doing word. It implies active pursuit and opposed to general interest. Being interested in a general…

WE CAN TURN THIS ASPECT INTO SOMETHING USEFULEven though we are told by our Saviour not to worry of be fearful, we seem to still do it. It seems like this is a natural human tendency. I myself can be worried and concerned about so many things. As a young person I would arrive at…
