QUOTE: Hope is the thing with feathers That perches in the soul, And sings the tune without the words, And never stops at all. – Emily Dickinson LIFE WITH HOPE Hope is an essential ingredient of life.  If we have hope we can face anything that life can throw at us.  If we have hope…

Doubt and faith cannot walk together. They are opposites. Doubt robs our faith of its power. Doubt undermines our faith and our very confidence in God. Matthew 21:21-22 Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree,…

There is a reward for those who will not doubt. If we can understand this I believe it will give us strength. There is a blessing reserved for those who don’t doubt God. Matthew 11:6 Then give him this message, ‘Blessed are those who don’t doubt me.’ These were words that were spoken by Jesus.…

Doubt needs to be dealt with, with ruthlessness. Joshua 1:9 “Yes, be bold and strong! Banish fear and doubt! For remember, the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Banish is a strong verb. THE GREATEST GIFT TO THE WISE MENThe wise men had been watching for the signs, and they journeyed far to meet the Saviour. A star that had appeared drew them. A star that would lead them to the Messiah. Matthew 2:1-11Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the…

This is a wonderful time of the year – a time when we celebrate the greatest gift of all: the gift of Jesus to the world. May this season be one where you deeply sense the presence of God in your homes and hearts. This greatest Gift – Jesus – was given for each of…

THE PLACE FOR KINGSHIP IN OUR LIVES IS RESERVED FOR GOD! The Lord’s plan for each of our lives is that He would be our King. I remember as a child seeing a hand-drawn picture of a throne. In the one picture the individual was on the throne and the Lord was on the side. In…

When things don’t work out as planned, we can turn to other things to bring us the relief we think will solve our problems. Things had not worked out as planned for the nation of Israel. Up until this time they had been ruled by judges. But now problems had crept in. Samuel’s sons had not done the right…
