The art of contentment

Contentment is something we must learn.  To be content is surely one of the greatest skills.
It does not mean that we do not have plans, dreams and goals.  It does mean that we live in the here and now and enjoy what we have while still being excited about what is to come, especially what God has in store for us.  This is the art of contentment.

Philippians 4:12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.

Please note the key phrase: ‘Learned the secret’.  The world does not want us to know this secret. It wants to keep us dissatisfied, because dissatisfaction propels us to want what we do not have or do not need.
