We are called to reproduce

When God created Adam and Eve and placed them in the Garden of Eden to “fill the earth,” His very first instruction to them was, “Be fruitful and multiply” [Genesis 1:28].
This was an instruction to reproduce – to bear children. God’s ultimate plan was to “fill the earth”. Ever since that first instruction the cycle of reproduction has gone on and now the earth is filled with billions of people.

When Jesus spoke to His disciples, after His resurrection from the dead, and just before His ascension to heaven, His last instruction to them was:
“Go … and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” [Matthew 28:19-20].
This was an instruction to reproduce after their own kind – other people who would also be disciples of Jesus. This cycle of reproduction has gone on ever since and as a result there are billions of Christians worldwide today.
Christianity has around 2.2 billion adherents of about 7 billion people. The faith represents one-third of the world’s population and is the largest religion in the world.  Each of us, who are part of the family of God, have the privileged of being able to reproduce.
So each one of us should use our influence to reach others and reproduce.
