Time is another aspect that we do not always understand as humans. We live in the age of the instant and time is simply a delaying factor. It seems so weird that God would allow the entire nation of Israel to suffer for years and years while the person who was supposed to deliver them wondered around in a desert looking after sheep. But He did.
Just because much time has passed does not mean that God has forgotten you or your request. Joseph is another one who may have experienced fragile faith.
Psalm 105:17-19 Then he sent Joseph as a slave to Egypt to save his people from starvation. There in prison they hurt his feet with fetters and placed his neck in an iron collar until God’s time finally came—how God tested his patience!
Don’t allow the time that has elapsed to erode your confidence in God.
2 Peter 3:8-9 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness.
