Give thanks

11891091_10153152432106313_4533614168102514203_nIt is important that we be people who are thankful. Over and over in the Bible we see how that we are told to be thankful.
How often we look past the things we have to be thankful for and focus on the things that are negative.  Often times people live longing for something beyond what they have and in the process do not appreciate what they have.  I believe that we need to develop thankful hearts.  There are many reasons why we can be thankful towards God and this is a good place to start.

I was listening to a man speak the other day and he was saying that we must not assume God is doing nothing, but we must rather remember what He has done.   As we remember what He has done we can begin to have faith for what He will do.
As you look back over your life, is there something that God did for you?  Now allow thankfulness to rise in your heart and let’s expect God to do great things in the future.
1 Chronicles 16:8 “Oh, give thanks to the Lord and pray to him,” they sang. “Tell the peoples of the world about his mighty doings.”

  1. Gratitude to God and depression cannot co-exist in our hearts. Therefore giving thanks to our Creator is a powerful antidote to anxiety, fear, grief and depression.
Many thanks also to Andrew and Vanessa for the God inspired words with which they faithfully bless us each and every day.
