Doing whatever He says should be the desire of our hearts. The longing and passion of our hearts should be to want the will of God and be ready to do what He tells us to do.
I was speaking to a friend of mine who was considering the possibility of immigrating to another country. As we discussed the matter he mentioned that his chief desire was to know God’s heart and to do whatever God wanted Him to do. This is how we should live. King David in the Old Testament was such a man with these types of desires.
1 Kings 14:8 His (David) heart’s desire was always to obey me and to do whatever I wanted him to.
What is the desire of your heart today? Is it that you just want to do what you want to do or is it that you want to do what He wants you to do?
