1 Chronicles 16:11 Seek the Lord and His strength; yearn for and seek His face and to be in His presence continually! (Amplified Bible)
It is interesting that it says: ‘SEEK HIS FACE!’ It does not say; ‘SEEK HIM’ or ‘SEEK HIS HAND’. When we are seeking God’s face, we are seeking God’s heart and His mind. The problem is that many people actually only seek His hand and what He can give them to solve their immediate and their pressing needs. But we are encouraged to seek more than this.
We must seek God, not just for what we can get, but simply because He is God! Francis Frangipane describes it this way: “There are certain times when the Lord calls us out of the routine of our daily lives. These are special seasons where His only command is, “Seek My Face.” He has something precious and vitally important to give us that the familiar pattern of our daily devotions cannot accommodate. During such times people are often delivered of sins that have plagued them for years; others discover a depth in their walk with God that leads to greater effectiveness in ministry and prayer; still others experience breakthroughs in their families and are used by God to see loved ones brought into the Kingdom.”
When we SEEK HIS FACE, as a priority in our lives, situations, circumstances and the conditions we find ourselves in can change!
