Strength in times of need

There are times when we are told to be strong.

Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Joshua 1:7 Be strong and very courageous.
1 Corinthians 16:13 Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong.

There are times when we just need to be strong and stand.  I believe this applies to discouragement. When we want to begin to get discouraged, this is when we need to stand and be strong.  Discouragement is the catalyst that undermines out strength.
There are times when we need God to come and strengthen us. When discouragement has turned into despair, we are robbed of our strength.   It is then that we need His strength.

Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you.

I am so glad God says that He will strengthen us.

Isaiah 45:5 I am the LORD, and there is no other; apart from me there is no God. I will strengthen you.

This empowering strength is something that God wants to give us.  My prayer is that God will come and strengthen you.
