GET BACK TO SIMPLICITY – IT WILL STRENGTHEN YOUR FAITH
Getting back to basics can feel uncomfortable at first, it’s like building muscle. At first, simplicity feels restrictive because we’ve grown used to distractions. But as you choose simple, daily faithfulness (prayer, the Word of God, pure thoughts) you’ll find your spiritual ‘muscles’ growing stronger. Over time, you’ll discover deep peace, contentment, and fulfilment in a life that’s uncomplicated and anchored in Christ. Learn to be still before God and intentionally avoiding constant busyness. We live in a world that praises hustle and non-stop activity, but God often calls us to quiet places to hear His voice and receive His peace.
Psalm 46:10 says: ‘Be still, and know that I am God…’
Busyness can disguise itself as productivity while keeping us distracted and spiritually empty. Stillness allows your soul to rest, your mind to be renewed, and your heart to align with God’s priorities. Take time each day to pause and sit quietly with the Lord. Put aside distractions to focus on prayer, reflection, and simply being in His presence. Recognise that stillness is not wasted time; it is essential for clarity, spiritual strength, and deeper relationship with God. Choosing quiet moments will simplify your life, reduce anxiety, and help you walk closely with the Lord in a chaotic world.

Prayer: A Return to Simplicity
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for speaking to me today.
Thank You for reminding me that Your way is not complicated and that You call me to walk in simplicity of heart.
Lord, I confess that I have allowed many things to crowd my heart and mind.
I’ve entertained distractions, gathered unnecessary clutter in my life, and often run ahead of You in busyness.
But today, I choose to return to the basics.
I choose stillness over striving, purity over performance, and obedience over opinion.
Help me to seek You daily in prayer, to listen to Your Word, and to live a life marked by humility, love, and trust in Your ways.
Renew my mind, Lord.
Guard my heart.
Clear away the noise and confusion, and teach me how to follow You in simplicity and peace.
Help me to obey in the small things, to guard what I watch and think, and to value quiet moments in Your presence.
Thank You that Your Word is a lamp to my feet.
Thank You that I don’t walk this path alone.
Lead me back to the joy and contentment that come from living close to You-with a heart that is still, uncluttered, and full of Your presence.
